The fanos light in the new school year

The Fanos Light Education and Virtues Inc. is an organization established with the purpose of supporting children and youth education. The primary purpose of The Fanos Light is to support children and youth who are in need to have access to basic school supplies, and other educational aid materials, the tools, resources, the learning opportunity, and the support they need in order to succeed in their studies and other aspects of life. We know there is so much need in this world as we speak, there is so much need and so much to be done to make the world a better place. However, at the Fanos Light, we believe the need to have access to basic resources and educational aid materials, and the support they need is very vital in children and youth’s growth and development, and in their learning journey to become successful in their studies and other aspects of life. We know and understand there is a need, and we know and understand there is something we can contribute to fulfilling this need, and that is the very reason why The Fanos was established. We know our work, the task and the responsibilities we took were not easy, and our work would not be easy for we have learned in our journey about the challenges of such a work, the time, energy, recourse, patience, determination, and responsibilities that it would take to do what needs to be done. We continued working, and try our best despite the challenges, and obstacles because we believe in our work, and the cause we stood for. We believe in the principle that the journey is the destination, and continued working, learning, and growing. We are grateful for what we were able to accomplish together last year for we successfully run an afterschool program in Winnipeg. Last year, we accepted and welcomed around 25 children and youth to our asp in the 2021/22 school year. Through this program, we offered programs related to reading, writing, art, and design science and mentoring program. we are so grateful to all children and youth who came to our program for we have seen some wonderful, inspiring learning experiences and we created some memorable and inspiring moments together. We believe the program offered both The Tanos Light team, and the students a learning experience that would help us both to learn grow and become better in our journey. Therefore, I want to take this opportunity again for everyone who became a part of The Fanos Light After School Program. I want to take this opportunity again on behalf of The Fanos Light to say thanks and extend my appreciation to all people who supported our work, to children, and youth who became part of the fanos light afterschool program, the parents, the volunteers, and our board members. We are announcing that we launched our ASP for the 2022/23 school year and welcoming students to our program this year. This year we will continue running the program in a different location and different setting as well, but we will continue providing the program with the same format, for we plan to have a program related to reading, writing, art, design science, and mentoring. in addition, we will have a program related to sports, and programs expand children’s and youth’s passion and interest for believe we must design programs based on the interest and needs of students. This year, we are welcoming new participants and together with participants from last year’s, we are very excited and looking forward to welcoming new participants, volunteers, and some board members as well. I want to take this opportunity again to say thanks and wish our best to the volunteers who were able to come and support these children with the time and knowledge they have. Special thanks to Dinu and Sheila who have been holding the board member position and coordinating the program, who are leaving their position to focus on their studies and another endeavor. We are welcoming new board members and program coordinators to The Fanos Light, we are welcoming Ginikatchi Obah, who was a writer and contributor to our board member position, and we welcome Margret Jons and Afrasiab khan as our board member, and we welcome Carol and Rochelle Scherpenzeel, and Cynthia to our volunteer and program coordinator position. We know that our task would not be easy for the work we are doing requires a lot of energy, time, resource, patience, dedication, and responsibilities. But we are excited and looking forward to the new school year. At the Fanos Light, we are grateful for what we were able to accomplish, and what we were able to contribute to the student’s learning journey. We know and understand what brought us to this point, its the understanding of the need, the need to have access to resources and educational aid materials, and the need to have a proper support system that would support these children and youth’s to succeed in their studies and other endeavors. It’s the understanding that we can do something, we can offer and contribute something to solve part of the problem. We know and understand this type of requires dedication, and responsibility, but we are very excited and looking forward to this year’s program and to all that the future hold for us together, we are approaching the new school year, with great hope, expectation, and anticipation. At Fanso Light we believe in all children, in their talent and potential to learn, grow and become successful in their studies and other aspects of life. Therefore, we are working to build a community of learners where we all learn from each other, from our experiences, and most importantly to create an environment that facilitates, learning and growth for children and youth, an environment that is conducive to learning by asking questions, by interacting, by doing, by exploring, by being curious, and by being responsible for our own learning. At the Fanos Light, we believe in possibilities and the room to learn and grow and become better in what we do, we believe in the potential and talents of these children and youth. Therefore, we will work to provide the resource, learning opportunities, guidance, and support these children and youth may need in their learning journey. We believe that together we would bring a difference in these children and youth’s education and lives with a bit of belief, compassion, sacrifice, dedication, and responsibility. Thank you and God Bless You.
