The Fanos Light Education and Virtues is a charitable organization founded in Feb 2019 in Winnipeg, Canada under the name The Fanos Light Children Support Inc. This organization was established with the purpose of supporting children and youth education in Canada, Ethiopia, and beyond.
At The Fanos Light, we believe in the power of education to change and transform learners and their futures. Children and youth need have access to education, educational aid materials, the resources, and the support systems that would help them succeed in their studies and other aspects of their lives.
We designed several programs based on the need of children and youth who came to our program. We have worked with them for the past few years , and we have learned about their needs, their interests, and also about their potentials. We have seen so many wonderful things during the programs that helped us to learn more about these kids and their potential. Therefore, we are here again with the renewed commitment, and dedication to continue working with them and support them, guide them , and provide them the space and the resource they need to continue learning . growing and progressing as individuals for we believe together we can do better.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank our board members, volunteers , parents, and community members, and more importantly these children nd youth who became part of The Fanos Light. Also, I want to take this opportunity to welcome Margaret Lewis-John , who has been supporting The Fanos Light in various capacity, now as a Program Coordinator. On Behalf of the Fanos Light I want officially welcome her as our Program Coordinator at The Fanos Light, I believe she has what it takes to support these children and youth who are coming to our Afterschool Program
